Event Overview

Three days of IGP, RH, and working dog sport on the Redwood Coast.

Come on out to the cool and beautiful Northern California coast for a fun and informative RH seminar and IGP/RH trial. RH is a search‑and‑rescue–based sport that includes obedience, obstacle dexterity, and scent work. It’s suitable for dogs of all ages, breeds, and mixes — and a great way to build teamwork and confidence.

We will also be offering a full IGP trial with nearly every title available, including:

  • BH
  • FH1–FH3
  • IGP/USP 1–3
  • GPR / STP / FPR / UPR 1–3
  • RH V + A (F, FL, MT)

Whether you’re trialing, auditing, or attending the seminar, this is a great opportunity to learn, train, and connect with the working dog community.

Tracking Fields

Our tracking fields are open grass pastures typical of the Northern California coast, offering generous space and natural ground cover for all levels of IGP and RH tracking. While late summer and early fall often bring cool, foggy mornings that create excellent scenting conditions, weather can vary — and extended summer "heat" may lead to drier, lighter vegetation. Handlers should be prepared for either scenario, but most years provide reliably workable coastal grass tracking terrain.

Judge Bio

Meet our USCA Judge for the Fall Trial.

Stanley Craddock — USCA Performance / Trial Judge (License #50)

Stanley Craddock is a long‑time USCA member, competitor, and licensed Performance/RH Judge. With a professional background that includes work as a law enforcement officer, firefighter/medic, and educator, Stanley brings a thoughtful, balanced approach to judging and training.


His involvement with German Shepherd Dogs began in 1976, and four generations of his family have continued that tradition.


Over the past five decades, Stanley has been active across multiple dog‑sport disciplines, including AKC obedience, IPO/IGP, and RH. His dogs have earned numerous titles and distinctions, including USCA Sports Medal awards, Schutzhund III Club honors, a USCA Working Dog Champion title, and appearances at nine USCA National Championships in both IPO/IGP and RH disciplines.


Stanley's favorite phase of training and competition is tracking. Handlers appreciate his clear communication, consistent scoring, and supportive attitude toward both new and seasoned competitors.


We are honored to welcome him to the Redwood Coast for our Fall 2026 event.

Meet the Helpers & Tracklayers

The team supporting the Fall Trial.

Craig — Helper & Training Director

Craig is the primary helper for Redwood Coast Schutzhund Club and brings years of experience in IGP protection work. Known for his calm, fair approach and excellent timing, he works dogs in a way that builds confidence and clarity.

Craig will be the working helper for the trial and will assist with RH dexterity and obedience demonstrations during the seminar.

Tracklayers — Dan, Hana & Craig

Our tracklaying team — Dan, Hana, and Craig — completed their USCA tracklayer certification under Instructor Tim Reiber in June 2025. This event will be their first official trial as certified tracklayers.

While new to official trial work, all three have been actively training within the club and are committed to laying fair, consistent tracks for every competitor.
